The 5th Egyptian- Finnish Musical Bridge :
A Cultural Demonstration
 
The Egyptian-Finnish Musical Bridge, a brainchild of the famous
Finnish pianist and conductor, Ralf Gothoni in cooperation with
Cairo Opera House and the Foreign Cultural Relations sector is
back in Cairo for its 5th Edition late March-early April.
 
The eminent Finnish music team participating in this Bridge
include 7 professional and 3 students among them: the Opera
director Eija Tolpo, prof. Mark Gothóni, Gabriele Fontana ,
Hartmut Höll, Kristian Attila, conductor Ralf Gothóni. It would
also include about 20 Egyptian students from Cairo Conservatoire.
The Musical Bridge will include an Opera Gala for the most
famous opera Arias and two musical concerts for works by Brahms
and Mozart.
 
The Musical Bridge is a week of musical workshops, master
classes and joint performances between virtuoso Egyptian and
Finnish musicians and opera singers. Its aim is to boost cultural
relations and promote talented Young Egyptian musicians/Singers
from Cairo Opera House and Cairo Conservatory. Some of them
are later invited to perform in famous Finnish musical festivals
such as the Savonlinna Opera Festival.
 
The Musical Bridge is held annually to entertain classical music

The schedule of concerts that will take place at the Small Hall of
Cairo Opera House. All performances start at 8 P.M. except the
Finnish Movie at 7.30 P.M. and the last concert on 2nd of April at
7PM. The schedule is as follows:
 
- March 29th : Chamber Music Concert – Small Hall (8 p.m.)
- March 30th : Opera Concert– Small Hall (8 p.m.)
- March 31st : Finnish Movie – Small Hall (7.30 p.m.)
"The Forbidden Fruit"
- April 1st : Orchestra Concert – Small Hall (8 p.m.)
- April 2 : Gala Concert, Small Hall (7 p.m.)
 
All Concerts are FREE ADMISSION.
